Turkey Stuffing


BT's Turkey Bread Stuffing


Ingredients:

3 cups bread cubes

3 celery ribs

1 large or 2 small yellow onions

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 large carrot

1 apple

1 tablespoon powdered sage

1/8 teaspoon peperoncino

1 teaspoon herbes de provence

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon black pepper


Directions:

Dice onion and celery into small pieces

Add half of oil to frying pan and turn heat on medium

Add onion and celery

Add peperoncino, half of sage and half of herbes de provence

Fry for 3 minutes and add half of salt

Put breadcrumbs in a large bowl

Add onion/celery mix

Boil 1 cup (120 ml) water

Pour water over breadcrumbs

Let sit for 5 minutes

Grate carrot and apple and add to bowl

Add remainder of salt and pepper and dry herbs

Mix well

Cover bowl with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator 4-6 hours


Stuff bird or roast immediately before placing meat in oven
